West Valley is planning an Easter egg hunt activity
With Easter just around the corner, West Valley City is preparing a number of activities to help families celebrate the season with a search for thousands of small plastic eggs.
The West Valley Family Fitness Center is getting ready for another big turnout for the Easter egg hunt activities. According to the Program Supervisor / Activities Valerie Custer, the event gets more popular every year.
"We always have a lot of people who come and participate, and always fun," said Custer. "This is a great opportunity for people to come and experience all of our facilities and what we offer."
On April 6, the celebration will begin with light Easter Egg Hunt Open. This unique hunting will take place at 9 p.m. At Centennial Park, located at 3100 West 5405 South.
During the free event, open to teens 13 and older, hunting Easter eggs in the dark looking for a softball complex Centennial Park with their own flashlight.
"The hunt flashlight is something the older kids really like," Custer said.
On the morning of 7 April the daytime version of an outdoor Easter egg hunt will also occur from the Centennial Park softball complex.
The event, which is also free, open to children 12 and under and starts at 8:30 am
"8:30 sharp!" Custer said. "If you come at 8:35, all the eggs may be lost."
At 9 am on 7 April, West Valley Family Center will host the annual "Breakfast with the Bunny" event in the community room. Families who register will be able to enjoy breakfast and craft some activities. They also can take pictures with the Easter Bunny himself.
To attend the breakfast, you must preregister by calling 801-955-4000 fitness center. The cost for this event is $ 7 for adults, $ 5 for youth ages 4 to 11 and $ 3 for children ages 1 to 3.
After breakfast, the "Edutainment" Egg Hunt will take place at 10:30 in edutainment play area fitness center. The event is limited to 50 people per age group and for children 11 and under. Tickets can be purchased for $ 2 for gym members and $ 3 for non-members.
At 11:30 pm, the popular Easter Egg Plunge takes place at the swimming pool fitness center. Egg that fell into the pool, and participants (with adult help, if needed) dive down to retrieve the eggs. They can then turn them in for the prize eggs.
